As well as being BBC Radio Devon’s intrepid wildlife correspondent, subjected to the monthly grilling of the wildlife phone-in, I have also provided material for other radio programmes.
Here are snippets from two Radio interviews I conducted with Open Country, BBC Radio 4’s flagship series about the British Countryside.
In this programme, I take presenter Helen March into Holyford Woods to explore the nature reserve from a slightly different perspective. We were in search of woodpeckers and although we didn’t find the lesser spotted, a crafty field technique brought greater spotted woodpeckers up close.
In this programme I meet up with Helen again, this time on the beach. We go rockpooling with a difference, as some of the critters we come across in the tidal pools are cooked up in a seashore paella – delicious!
