Wild Wetlands

Working with Exeter University students, funded through a Heritage Lottery grant, this project was completed for East Devon District Council and was the culmination of a lot of hard work and head scratching!

I worked with cameraman Mark Sharman to find the species for filming and, over the course of three separate week’s field time, we developed the rushes that built into this short film. Intended to be a snapshot of some of the most interesting species and behaviour to be found on this fabulous site, the stories which unfolded in front of Mark’s lens were interpreted by me in the studio and the script woven around the material.

I am very proud of the resulting film, and have learnt an awful lot!

Very high quality James. Great atmosphere created and good choice of music, rather Ralph Vaughan-Williams like. I really believe you are going to get a big break soon!
