About me
I am a Devon-based Naturalist. For the last seven years I worked as a ranger on nature reserves managed by East Devon District Council, however I’ve recently started a new role with The Donkey Sanctuary to help deliver conservation projects on its substantial UK landholding – a fabulous new challenge!
I’ve been captivated by the natural world for as long as I can remember and if it walks, crawls, flies, slides, swims or just sits very, very still – I want to know about it. Inspired by the likes of Sir David Attenborough and Gerald Durrell, I like to get hands-on with my passion.
An aspiring wildlife filmmaker, I established Tiercel Media in 2011 to develop my presenting work and deliver my first natural history documentary, a short HD documentary for East Devon District Council about the Axe Estuary Wetlands. I’m a passionate advocate of all things natural world and love reading your Devon Life articles amongst other things you write.
In the AprilMay issue you talk about making sure you eat meat that’s eaten a traditional wildflower rich pasture diet – I’d love to know where you source that (if you don’t mind sharing the info) as I would like to do the same….. all info welcomed!

Hi Karen,
Thanks so much for getting in contact! I source beef from I’m My Backyard cooperative which is a way you can get beef and hogget (year old lamb) from east Devon nature reserves. Or alternatively I exclusively buy from Pipers Farm where I used to work and have 100% confidence in the faith of their farming practices!
